Award for humanitarianism and commitment

Every year, the Two Wings Award is being presented by Two Wings to a personality who has been involved unremittingly in development cooperation. The aim of the presentation of the award is to draw the attention of the public to the commitment and the projects of the award winners as well as to point out how single initiatives can contribute to the improvement of living conditions. The expenses of the event are mostly covered by sponsors and artist performing on an honorary basis. The bronze figure (left) was designed by the sculptor Martin Müller.

ProSocial Award - social committment in Austria

The prosocial orientation of teenagers and grown-ups in Austria who recognize themselves as members of a community which begins with the family and extends in order to include the whole of mankind, is promoted with the Two Wings ProSocial Award. Teenagers should be encouraged to adopt voluntary and honorary services in the community and to take the achievements of others, who are true heroes through their quiet and lasting service, as example. These persons have cultivated those qualities, which are appropriate for human dignity: trustworthiness, patience and kind appreciation for all people.
